August 1, 2013. We are shutting down hockey operations for the Utica Coyotes Youth Hockey Program. Our parent organization Mohawk Valley Youth Hockey Association has partnered with the Utica Comets AHL team; members of the Coyotes will be joining Junior Comets in order to continue to provide kids in the area with the highest quality of hockey player development. We will look back on the last 5 years with great memories, continue the great relationships we have built and move forward. As they say, all great things must come to an end. Please visit the MVYHA and the Utica Junior Comets websites for more information.

Congratulations to the 2002 Coyotes. North American Silver Stick Finalists !!
The 2002 Coyotes team had a great run at the Silver Stick North American Finals in Forest, Ontario coming away as finalists in the Atom B division. Out of the 16 finalist and champions in the different divisions, only 3 teams were from the U.S., and we were one of them.
The team went 4-1 for the weekend with wins over Ganonoque(6-3), Lambton Shores(4-2), Hyland Hills, Colorado(6-2) and Oro(5-4). The team played a great game in the championship against Lambeth. We are very proud of the team and all that they have accomplished this season. Its all about player development and having a great time and this team does both very well. Congratulations team !!!

Welcome to the Coyotes web site.
This is the home of the Coyotes web site. We are an independent youth hockey organization affiliated with the Mohawk Valley Youth Hockey Association. We currently operate 4 birth year teams in the Utica, NY area. Our program offers competitive travel-level hockey.
Our primary goal is player development, providing an environment where the kids are the focal point which allows them to grow as players and have fun as kids. We play a competitive style of hockey and look to play competitive games against other teams in New York State. We feel that playing competitive hockey will only make the kids better. We look for not only good players, but kids who want to be on the ice. Our coaching staff is regarded as the best in the area. We take our coaching job very seriously and it shows in the feedback we receive and the results on and off the ice. We have enjoyed great success with our program, winning numerous tournaments across New York State.
If you have any questions about our program, please feel free to contact us or read the FAQ on our site.
